Century Plaza Bread Pudding

All you need are simple ingredients. Try this scrumptious bread pudding, a classic dessert that tastes like home.

 

2 oz. whole butter

1 cup raisins

2 1/2 lb. day old croissants (sliced)

1 lb. 2 oz. day old fruit Danish (sliced)

1/2 gal. whole milk

3/4 gal. heavy cream

1/2 gal. whole eggs (lightly whipped)

2 lbs. granulated sugar

pinch salt

1/4 tsp. cinnamon

2 tbsp. vanilla extract

*Preheat oven to 350 degrees. In a large two-gallon sized disposable aluminum pan, coat bottom with whole melted butter. Sprinkle with 1/2 cup raisins. Add croissants and Danish in alternating layers. Combine milk, cream, sugar, salt cinnamon and vanilla in a large mixing bowl. Pour it over the Danish and croissants. Place the aluminum pan in a water bath. Cover the pan with a sheet pan. Bake for approximately 2 hours or until the pudding is set and firm. Let it cool. Serve with vanilla brandy sauce.
