Former television news reporter and anchor Tina Kim moved to the United States when she was four years old and grew up in Seattle, Washington. She is the youngest of four children and graduated from the University of Washington with a broadcast communications degree. "I wanted to be on tv and the only Asian woman I saw on tv was Connie Chung." After working as a reporter in small towns after graduating, Tina decided to drop everything and move to New York City. She didn't know anyone in New York, nor did she have a job lined up. With no fear she sold her car and went with $2000.00 in her pocket.
