Dat Phan grew up in San Diego. In 2003, he entered NBC's stand-up comedy competition reality show, Last Comic Standing, and became a finalist in the competition. He won the competition and subsequently has made cameo appearances in Hollywood films such as Cellular and Love is the Drug. He currently tours the country and now resides in Las Vegas.
